So here’s the story… September 17th, 2023 was the two year anniversary of their first date. So, Thomas wanted to propose then. He decided to propose by a tree in a beautiful park where they carved their initials when they first started dating called Brookside Gardens. He hired his friend JusPaul and his friend to sing “Happily Ever After” by Case for them. And, he invited their immediate families and kept it a secret from her.

The moment that was created was so beautiful. The singers sang beautifully and the experience left people in tears. Jocelyn was crying when she said,"yes, I will marry you" after Thomas got down on one knee and said, “Two years ago, on this date, we had our first date. About two months later, we carved our initials into this tree and I said I want to be with you forever. You’re my best friend. You make me a better man. And, I want to be with you forever. Jocelyn, will you marry me?” The rest is history.
